You decide which emails are tracked. Some messages — personal notes, sensitive conversations — are better sent without a read receipt.
For a single email
In the Gmail compose window, use the OpenedYet switch next to the Send button to turn tracking off. The email is sent exactly as written: no tracking image, no tracked links and no footer.
For every email
Prefer to choose each time? In your OpenedYet settings, switch the default so tracking is off unless you turn it on for a particular email.
Recipients who opted out
If a recipient has opted out of tracking, OpenedYet tells you while you write and doesn’t track that email. How opt-outs work.
